RELIEF

The Gadigal (Sydney) based jazz band Mosaic commissioned me to create some designs for their record "Where We Are Now" as well as cover art for their single "Come Rain Or Shine".  These designs were inspired by native leaves and mosaic designs. I especially with the album cover I wanted the veins in the leaf to be bold and look almost like the gaps in a tiled mosaic pattern. I hand coloured them with watercolour to create a soft contrast against the hard lines of the relief print. This design was flexible and used across multiple formats such as printed on the inner disc of the CD and record.
